Who we are
We
are a unique organisation who provides free music technology/ industry
courses to young people and people on a low income in Hyde Park/ Woodhouse
in Leeds. We aim to provide opportunities through teaching music in new
and exciting ways for people to gain useful skills that will help them
enter into employment or go on to further education.
Through
our music activities, participants gain additional transferable personal
skills such as:

building confidence
* making friends
* team building
* organisational planning
* collaborating with others
* communication
* technical abilities in IT
* business
Over 1000 local people have now accessed and benefited from our courses
and many have now progressed in their musical ambitions continued on to
University or gained paid work as a direct result of their time with us.

How this helps Cloth Cat
The
money we raise from our 'Friends' will be used to support our existing
and new projects, and has the advantage of not being 'ring-fenced' as
with other grant money. In addition we can reclaim Gift Aid, increasing
the value of your donation by 28%.
