 Course content:

A 10 session course to be conducted over five consecutive weeks on two consecutive days it will be based at a local rehearsal studio with rooms for instruction and rooms for rehearsal including back line availability.

 

Students will be invited onto the course after auditioning in order to prove their vocal or instrumental skills .To make the proposal work students must be at the very least competent instrumentalists and vocalists. We will be looking for a range of instrumentalists in order to facilitate ensemble possibilities.

 

After selection students will work in appropriate combinations i.e. Groups, Trios, Duo’s or Soloists with a brief to produce one original musical piece and one cover to be performed at a subsequent Concert which will be open to the public.

 

Over the course instruction will be given on techniques, arrangement and performing skills. An added factor is that many of the sessions will also contain instruction on three areas of interest

The course is there to provide opportunities for students with musical aptitude to share their gifts with others and be better equipped to take up the career as a musician having gained knowledge of the Industry.
